ROGO (rate of growth ordinance) allocations for new residential units are in short supply for both market rate and affordable housing units. If you purchased land in the Florida Keys with the intention of building a home on it one day, now is the time to do so. However, be prepared for the high cost of getting enough point in the ROGO system to have a chance at getting an allocation. Literally, there will be no more ROGO allocations available in 2024-2025.
