VDF Law, PLLC, is the law firm of Van D. Fischer, a civil law practitioner focused on matters involving land use, zoning, code compliance defense, landlord-tenant matters, contracts, and civil litigation for individuals and businesses.  Mr. Fischer represents individual and business clients in Key West and throughout Monroe County, Florida. Van Fischer has a long history working with local, state and federal agencies starting in the early 1990’s working for the Florida Department of Community Affairs.  Later, he worked for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and was instrumental in drafting the comprehensive management plans for the four National Wildlife Refuges in the Florida Keys.  Mr. Fischer has a unique and detailed knowledge of how the Florida Keys regulatory and civil litigation system works. He is a magna cum laude graduate of the Charleston School of Law and has a graduate degree in environmental management from Duke University.  Mr. Fischer established VDF Law in 2015.
