Monroe County, Florida, has a rate of growth ordinance (ROGO) which limits the number of new houses which can be built each year. There is a finite number of unit allocations available which are expected to be used up in 2025. If you are considering building a new house on a vacant lot in the Keys, you must act very quickly to obtain a ROGO allocation. This is a complicated process for which VDF Law can help.
